Meet Mark Meijburg

A Passion for Process and Partnership

With a background in food technology, Mark Meijburg brings a strong process mindset to every project. As part of the third generation behind Vomatec, he helps manufacturers turn complex production challenges into smart and reliable solutions, especially in the confectionery and nutraceutical space.

Mark has hands-on experience with a wide range of confectionery processes, from continuous cooking of jellies to the finishing of coated gummies, fondant crystallization and caramel systems. Over the years, he has worked closely with production teams, helping them scale recipes, solve process bottlenecks and implement tailor-made machinery that performs under real-world conditions.

He leads R&D, sales and pilot plant operations, with a focus on product trials, process testing and optimization. His goal is to achieve perfect texture, consistency and efficiency at every step. “It’s not just about the machine. It’s about how the process brings the product to life,” he explains.

Known for his honest and collaborative style, Mark guides clients through custom setups and supports smooth start-ups on site. He listens closely, thinks critically and ensures every detail is tailored to the client’s needs. In addition to engineering, he also provides tailored training programs to clients worldwide, helping them gain confidence in both process and operation.

Outside of work, Mark enjoys life with his wife, his dog Nero and two cats. He loves barbecuing with friends, games and solving escape rooms — activities that reflect his passion for strategy, teamwork and precision.
